Mobility4EU @ FTA 2018 Brussels, 4 and 5th of June 2018: Scenario Design for Policymaking
Post
FTA 2018 is a two day event taking place at The Square Business Center in Brussels exploring new challenges of policymaking and future-oriented frames and methods to respond to them. During the second day of the conference Imre Keseru from Vrije Universiteit Brussel will present how the Multi-Actor Multi-Criteria Analysis (MAMCA) was used to assess the preferences of stakeholder groups across the whole transport and mobility spectrum for the MOBILITY4EU project. While in previous applications of MAMCA, the scenarios were defined by the decision maker, this research proposes the combination of the intuitive logics scenario technique and the normative narrative method with MAMCA to appraise the preferences of fourteen stakeholder groups towards future scenarios for mobility in Europe by 2030 emphasizing the participative nature of the scenario building.

The European Transport Innovation Challenge is a new recognition award being offered to young transport innovators for the first time this year. We invite them to give us creative solutions for goods and services that will contribute to reducing CO2 emissions in transport. This can be the result of research, but it does not need to be. It can be in any transport mode, and in many different sectors linked to transport, such as solutions in healthcare, retail or food sectors. The key word is innovation.
